What's Going On?
A Lesson Worth Learning
AI Deserves Our Full Attention As We Navigate the Future
Not a big deal? Right.
Noah gets a “GOD” assignment – Build this huge “thing.” Introducing DI – Divine Intelligence.
It took him and his workers many years. Think about cutting every plank. How did they cut the pieces to perfection? They only had a plan for this “never-seen-before” thing, and they had no idea what it was being built for. There had never been a flood before. It had never rained before. The soil had been watered from the earth, not out of clouds in the sky. No one knew what a boat was. No one knew why a boat would be built or for what reason.
People watched and mocked Noah and his crew of skilled tradesmen. Noah had only a plan. They had no idea why it was so long and many stories tall. It was huge. And pitch tar was used to seal every board and joint. Why were they inspired to get all the small details right?
The people had never experienced wet drops of rain falling out of the sky. What people do not understand – becomes easy to mock and reject. Then – the day comes when an invisible force mysteriously shuts the door of the Ark.
The population had no idea what was really going on. They laughed and mocked at those onboard the “Ark” until clouds started rolling in and rain began to fall from the sky. Panic set in. Noah couldn’t re-open that huge door. No one could. What had never been seen before, actually happened. It rained, and rained, and water covered everything. Forty days later, life began again.
Accepting something we do not understand sometimes requires a new level of thinking. Artificial Intelligence can best be understood by looking at its historical track record of helpfulness.
It is necessary to understand the interaction of three major components: AI (Artificial Intelligence), HI (Human Intelligence), and, most importantly, DI (Divine Intelligence). When these three are in the right perspective, the future is exciting and extremely rewarding.
AI's Record Is Impressive
- Before Google Search, all study books and information were available primarily at the local library.
- We no longer have to go to the Newspaper box for the Sunday Paper for Weekly Coupons, and the local News.
- Need we say “Amazon” – the world’s largest Marketplace? The dream of a lifetime. An AI gift.
- Never have to buy Maps to find directions. It’s all electronic and voice-activated now.
- We no longer have to find a telephone booth or kiosk to make a phone call; we can simply dial the number. or press a button.
- School was the place for instruction and learning. Now it’s online instantly. Unlimited information.
- No more paying bills through the mail or sending letters or bills for everything, using stamps.
- No longer required to have cash or coins in the purse or pocket to pay for everything. Gas included.
- Never have to buy a camera for those family pictures. It’s in your smartphone now. Movies too.
- Never have to buy a tape recorder to capture fun family moments. It’s in your hand, on your phone.
- Want to see a cartoon or children’s movie at the theater? See them anytime – it’s in your pocket for free.
- The most coveted asset in most homes were the “unbelievably popular” catalogs. Catalogs for anything and everything. Now the coveted products are instantly available on the mobile phones you and your children have.
